Open Deep Dive

Go to Deep Dive (/platform/deep-dive) and click New session.

Add the obligor

Search for the CUSIP or obligor name and click the result. Its documents appear in the table below, already ticked.

Scope the documents

Set the Years pill to the horizon you want, and untick anything irrelevant. Check the counter reads more than 0 documents selected.

Ask the question

Type your question in the chat box. Press / first to drop in a saved skill if you have one for this shape of answer.

Export or follow up

When the answer is in, ask a follow-up, or use Export to save it as PDF or DOCX.
For the same write-up across many obligors, write it once in Tear Sheets instead.

Add them all to one session

In the New session window, search for and click each obligor in turn. Each becomes its own section in the documents table, so you can see what came from where.

Trim each side

Untick anything you don’t want counted. A question can use up to 300 documents, so narrow the Years pill if you’re over.

Ask for the comparison

Name the entities in your question and say what shape you want, for example “one table, one row per obligor, columns for FY2022 to FY2024 operating margin”. The agent keeps each obligor’s figures separate and never carries a number from one to another.

Create the watchlist

Open Watchlists (/platform/watchlists) and click New Watchlist. Paste one or more CUSIPs into the CUSIPs field, click Add, and rename the watchlist (e.g. “Texas hospitals”) from its menu. Each CUSIP is resolved to its obligor.

Write the instructions

Open Tear Sheets (/platform/tear-sheets), click New Tear Sheet, name it and pick the watchlist. In its workspace, write the sections and definitions you want, then click Run to set Years Back and attach any documents of your own.

Run on a sample

Select a few representative CUSIPs and run. Read what comes back and edit the instructions until it reads the way you want.

Extend across the watchlist

Click Run again and select the rest. Entities already covered keep what they have; only the new ones are generated.

Stay current

When new disclosures land for any obligor on the watchlist, its write-up is regenerated automatically and shows up with a New badge. You don’t have to do anything.

Build the watchlist

Any watchlist is covered from the moment you add a CUSIP. There’s nothing to switch on.

Use Surveillance as your inbox

Open Surveillance, set Period to the last day or week, and filter Event type to document publications. Add Sentiment set to negative to see the filings most worth reading first. Each card carries the filing’s sentiment and takeaways, so you can triage without opening PDFs.

Triage and drill in

Flag what matters, mark the rest completed. On a flagged filing, click Deep Dive to open a session scoped to that document and ask what changed.
The watchlist’s own Document Publications page under Coverage shows the same filings for one list at a time.

Open Data Tables

Go to Data Tables (/platform/data-tables) and click New Table.

Write the prompt

Pick the watchlist and describe the metrics you want, the periods to cover, and any sector-specific rules. Be explicit about units and fiscal year ends.

Check the layout

The run window shows the rows and columns it read out of your prompt. Rename anything awkward, drop what you didn’t want, reorder, then run.

Run on a few CUSIPs

Select a handful and run. Tweak the prompt until the cells look right.

Apply to the full watchlist

Click Run again and select the rest. Already-extracted entities are locked and carry over; the matrix fills in as the new ones come back, and you can sort, filter, pivot, and export it.

Write it down once

Open Skills and click New Skill. Put your house definitions and output shape in the body, for example how you compute DSCR and how you want tables laid out.

Share it

Open the skill’s menu and click Share. Everyone in your organization can now use it.

In any Deep Dive question, press /, pick the skill, and carry on writing around it.
