# Screener and explorers

> Search the whole municipal universe: securities, trades and filings.

The **Market** section of the sidebar holds three pages that search the whole municipal universe rather than a watchlist. They work the same way, so learning one teaches you all three.

## The filter bar

Each page opens with a few filters already on screen. To add more, click **Filters** and pick from the list: issuer, obligor, CUSIP, state, sector, use of proceeds, source of repayment, tax status, dates, and so on. Results update as you change a filter, with a live count above the table, and the filters you chose stay in the URL so you can bookmark a search or send it to a colleague.

Click the **x** on a filter to clear and remove it.

Trade Explorer and Doc Explorer also have a **Period** filter, since both are time ordered: today, last 7 / 14 / 30 / 90 days, 1 year, or 3 years.

## Screener

Lists securities with CUSIP, ticker, series, issuer, state, coupon rate, maturity, and whether the bond is callable or taxable. Click any row to open its [security page](/platform-guide/introduction#security-and-obligor-pages).

## Trade Explorer

Lists MSRB trades with CUSIP, ticker, issuer, state, trade type (customer bought, customer sold, inter-dealer), par amount, price and yield. A **Flags** column marks when-issued trades, weighted average price trades, list offering price, alternative trading system and non-transaction compensation. Click a row to open the security page.

## Doc Explorer

Lists filings with their publication date, name, issuer and type. Two more columns come from the summary we generate for every filing:

* **Sentiment**: positive, neutral or negative.
* **Takeaways**: the headline points, so you can scan a period without opening anything.

Click a row to expand the full summary and its tags, or click the filing name to open the document itself.

<Tip>Doc Explorer searches everything published, not just your watchlists. Use it when you want to see what a sector has filed lately. Use [Surveillance](/platform-guide/surveillance) when you only care about names you already follow.</Tip>
